Edit Power House
Dalmarnock in the east end of Glasgow, was once an engine-room of the city, and as such, has paid a high price as the heavy industries declined.
At a now derelict site at Dalmarnock Bridge, a mighty power station once stood, supplying Glasgow with electricity in the first half of the 20th century. It has since been demolished, and its 300ft tower, built in the 1920s, took three attempts to topple.
